Pizza Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 16 oz. box of bow tie pasta
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 ounces sliced pepperoni
  • 1 (26 ounce) jar of pasta sauce
  • 1 10 oz. can of diced Italian-style tomatoes
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package of shredded Italian cheese blend
  • Optional: black olives, sausage, onions, green peppers, etc.

Directions:

  1. Begin by boiling water with salt for the pasta. Once boiling, add the pasta and cook until al dente. In a separate frying pan, brown the ground meat.
  2. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Lightly grease a 9x13x3 inch baking pan, then pour a small amount of pasta sauce to coat the bottom.
  5. Add a layer of cooked pasta to the pan, followed by half of the remaining pasta sauce, the can of diced tomatoes, garlic powder, and oregano.
  6. Layer the cooked ground meat on top of the pasta, followed by a layer of pepperoni slices. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and the shredded Italian cheese blend. Add another layer of pepperoni.
  7. Optionally, add any other pizza toppings you desire, such as black olives, sausage, onions, or green peppers.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious pizza casserole!
