Professional Quick Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 7 grams (about 2 and 1/4 teaspoons) dried yeast
- 50 milliliters (about 3 and 1/2 tablespoons) milk
- 250 milliliters (1 cup plus 2 teaspoons) hot water
- 6 grams (about 1 and 3/4 teaspoons) sugar
- 350 grams (about 2 and 3/4 cups) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 15 grams (about 1 tablespoon) room-temperature butter
Preparation:
- Activating the yeast: In a large bowl, dissolve sugar and dried yeast in lukewarm
water. Add milk and mix well. - Preparing the dough: Gradually add sifted flour and salt to the liquid mixture,
stirring constantly until combined. Mix in melted butter and knead the dough by hand until it forms
a uniform, slightly sticky consistency. Add more flour if needed. - Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 3-4 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover
with a tea towel and let it rest in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour. - Shaping and resting: Divide the dough into four equal portions and shape each into
a ball. Place them in butter-greased loaf pans, cover, and let rest in a warm place for an additional
20 minutes. - Baking: Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (374 degrees Fahrenheit). Place a
pan of water in the oven to create steam, which helps achieve a fluffy texture. Bake the loaves for
25-30 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
