Ingredients:

  • 8-10 chicken drumsticks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Your favorite barbecue sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and dried thyme to create a flavorful rub.
  4. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the drumsticks, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
  5. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking, then place the seasoned drumsticks on the grill.
  6. Grill the chicken, turning occasionally, until it is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C), which should take around 20-25 minutes.
  7. During the last few minutes of grilling, generously brush the drumsticks with your favorite barbecue sauce, rotating them to ensure even coating and caramelization.
  8. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve the hot, succulent drumsticks straight from the grill, accompanied by extra barbecue sauce for dipping if desired. Enjoy your flavorful meal!
