Fluffy Milk Brioche – A Heavenly Treat for Your Palate!

Ingredients:

  • 500ml (2 cups) warm milk
  • 7g (1 1/2 tsp) dry yeast
  • 100g (0.5 cup) brown sugar
  • 60ml (0.3 cup) oil
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 750g (6 cups) flour
  • 50g (0.2 cup) butter

For Coating and Topping:

  • 1 egg yolk + 15ml (1 tbsp) milk
  • 20g sesame seeds

Method:

  1. In a deep bowl, pour warm milk and add sugar and yeast. Stir well, cover, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then, add oil, vinegar, salt, and eggs. Mix thoroughly and gradually incorporate flour until a fine, sticky dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough until smooth, then add softened butter cubes and continue kneading until fully incorporated. Cover the dough and let it rest for 2 hours.
  3. Divide the dough into 9 equal balls of around 170 grams each. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover the balls with a kitchen cloth and let them rest for another 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Mix one egg yolk with 1 tbsp of milk, then brush the brioches with this mixture and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  5. Bake the brioches in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
