Chocolate Chip Donuts
Ingredients:
- 250g Manitoba flour
- 250g all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 200g ricotta cheese
- 130g sugar
- 12g fresh brewer’s yeast
- 120g milk
- 100g chocolate chips
- Vanilla or vanillin
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Preparation:
- Begin by melting the yeast in a glass of milk at room temperature.
- In a large bowl, combine the flours, sugar, yeast mixture, and a dash of vanilla.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly for a few minutes.
- Beat the eggs separately, then incorporate them into the mixture.
- Knead the dough for several minutes until the eggs are fully integrated.
- Gradually add the ricotta cheese to the dough, continuing to mix for approximately 10 minutes.
- Once the dough is smooth, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and allow it to rise for 3 hours.
- After the rising period, roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut out donuts using a cookie cutter.
- Cover the donuts with plastic wrap and let them rise for an additional hour.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Bake the donuts for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Once cooled, dust the donuts with powdered sugar for decoration.
