Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Preparation

1. Mix the Batter:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and eggs.
  • Gradually incorporate the milk and water, stirring until well combined.
  • Add the salt and melted butter, then beat until the mixture is smooth.

2. Heat the Skillet:

  • Lightly oil a griddle or frying pan and heat over medium-high heat.
  • Pour or ladle approximately 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each crepe.
  • Tilt the pan in a circular motion to ensure the batter evenly coats the surface.

3. Cook the Crepes:

  • Cook each crepe for about 2 minutes, or until the bottom turns light brown.
  • Use a spatula to loosen the edges, then flip the crepe and cook the other side.

4. Serving:

  • Serve the crepes hot, garnished with powdered sugar and fresh berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries.
  • Additional toppings like whipped cream, Nutella, or your favorite spread can be added.

Tips:

  • Ensure the batter is smooth and lump-free; using a blender can help achieve this.
  • The skillet should be sufficiently hot to cook the crepes quickly without burning them.
  • Don’t worry if the first crepe isn’t perfect; it often takes one or two tries to get the temperature just right.
