Air Fried Sweet Chili Garlic Wings
Air Fried Sweet Chili Garlic Wings
Ingredients:
For the Wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split at the joints and tips removed
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray
For the Sweet Chili Garlic Sauce:
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (optional, for heat)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
Directions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Prepare the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season them generously with salt and pepper.
- Prepare the Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent the wings from sticking.
- Cook the Wings: Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch each other for even cooking. Cook the wings for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until they are crispy and golden brown. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Make the Sweet Chili Garlic Sauce: While the wings are cooking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sriracha sauce (if using). Cook the mixture over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Coat the Wings: Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the sweet chili garlic sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Garnish and Serve: Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish. Serve the wings hot and enjoy!
