Philly Cheesesteak Baked Tortellini
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 package (19 oz) frozen cheese tortellini
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks, until it’s nicely browned. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Incorporate the sliced bell pepper and onion into the skillet, cooking until they turn tender and aromatic.
- Meanwhile, cook the tortellini according to package instructions until they reach an al dente consistency. Drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef and vegetables with the cooked tortellini and beef broth. Stir gently to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the top with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese becomes bubbly and achieves a golden brown hue.
