Sausage French Onion Puffs
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/3 cup salt-reduced French onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 3 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with French onion soup mix, tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Season generously with black pepper.
- Lay out the puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet in half lengthwise.
- Divide the meat mixture evenly along the length of each pastry half, shaping it into a log.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush the mixture along one side of the pastry, next to the meat.
- Carefully roll the pastry over the meat, ensuring a tight seal, and gently press the edges to seal.
- Using a serrated knife, slice each log into 6 or 8 pieces, as desired.
- Place the pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
