Savory Gourmet Ribeye Baguette
Gourmet Cheesy Beef Baguette
Ingredients:
- 1 large French bread loaf
- 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon horseradish
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil, onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are tender. Season with salt and pepper.
- Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise. Hollow out the top and bottom halves slightly to make room for the filling.
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, horseradish, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread this mixture on both halves of the bread.
- Layer the steak, cooked vegetables, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread. Place the top half of the bread on top.
- Wrap the stuffed bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasty.
- Slice and serve warm.
