Professional Milk Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon dry yeast
- 2 cups milk, at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
- 6 cups bread flour
Instructions:
- Begin by mixing the warm water with the dry yeast in a bowl.
- Add the room temperature milk, brown sugar, salt, and softened butter to the yeast mixture.
- Stir the ingredients until well combined.
- Gradually add 4 cups of bread flour to the mixture, stirring continuously.
- Transfer the dough to a clean work surface and knead for approximately 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and allow it to rest for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release excess air.
- Knead the dough on a clean surface for an additional 5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 2 equal parts.
- Shape each part into a loaf and place them in greased loaf pans, then cover them and let them rest for 45 minutes to rise.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
- Once the loaves have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Remove the loaves from the oven and let them cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy your freshly baked milk bread!
