Professional Milk Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon dry yeast
  • 2 cups milk, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 6 cups bread flour

Instructions:

  1. Begin by mixing the warm water with the dry yeast in a bowl.
  2. Add the room temperature milk, brown sugar, salt, and softened butter to the yeast mixture.
  3. Stir the ingredients until well combined.
  4. Gradually add 4 cups of bread flour to the mixture, stirring continuously.
  5. Transfer the dough to a clean work surface and knead for approximately 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and allow it to rest for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
  7. After the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release excess air.
  8. Knead the dough on a clean surface for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts.
  10. Shape each part into a loaf and place them in greased loaf pans, then cover them and let them rest for 45 minutes to rise.
  11. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
  12. Once the loaves have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  13. Remove the loaves from the oven and let them cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy your freshly baked milk bread!
