Hot Fudge Brownie Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, melt butter. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Spread batter into prepared pan. Drop hot fudge sauce by spoonfuls onto the batter, using a knife to swirl the sauce into the batter.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts if using.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the center is set but still soft. Do not overcook.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
