Delicious and Quick Garlic Flatbreads in Just 10 Minutes
Ingredients
For the Flatbreads:
- 350g Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- A pinch of Salt
- 60ml Oil
- 120ml Water
For Brushing:
- Pressed Garlic (adjust quantity to taste)
- A little Oil
- Herbs to taste (such as parsley, cilantro, or rosemary)
Preparation
1. Make the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the oil and water to the dry ingredients. Knead the mixture using your hands or a dough mixer until it forms a smooth dough. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour; if too dry, add a bit more water.
2. Shape the Flatbreads:
Pinch off small pieces of the dough and roll them into balls. On a lightly floured surface, flatten each ball with a rolling pin to form your flatbreads. Aim for a thickness of about 1/8 to 1/4 inch, depending on your preference.
3. Cook the Flatbreads:
Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, place a flatbread in the pan.
Cook each side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and slightly puffed up. Repeat the process with the remaining flatbreads.
4. Garlic Oil Brushing:
In a small bowl, mix a little oil with pressed garlic and your chosen herbs to create a flavorful brushing mixture.
Once each flatbread is cooked, brush the garlic oil mixture over the top side while still warm, infusing them with a delicious garlicky herb flavor.
