COCONUT BREAD RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- 4 cups of sifted all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups of warm milk
- 4 tablespoons of instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of coconut flavor
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- Grated coconut flakes
- 4 tablespoons of softened butter
PROCEDURES
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, eggs, and whisk thoroughly.
- Add sifted flour, salt, and coconut flakes. Mix with a spatula to form a dough.
- Allow the dough to rest for about 10 minutes. Then, add the softened butter and mix.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until it reaches a stretchy consistency.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it double in size.
- Deflate the dough to remove air and transfer it back to the work surface.
- Cut the dough into small portions, then fold/roll each into a ball/round shape.
- Place parchment paper on a baking pan and transfer the dough onto it.
- Cover and let it double in size.
- Brush with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 25-30 minutes.
