Chocolate Chip and Pecan Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended.
  5. Mix in chocolate chips and pecans.
  6. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
