COCONUT BREAD RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cups of sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups of warm milk
  • 4 tablespoons of instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut flavor
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • Grated coconut flakes
  • 4 tablespoons of softened butter

PROCEDURES

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, eggs, and whisk thoroughly.
  2. Add sifted flour, salt, and coconut flakes. Mix with a spatula to form a dough.
  3. Allow the dough to rest for about 10 minutes. Then, add the softened butter and mix.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until it reaches a stretchy consistency.
  5. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it double in size.
  6. Deflate the dough to remove air and transfer it back to the work surface.
  7. Cut the dough into small portions, then fold/roll each into a ball/round shape.
  8. Place parchment paper on a baking pan and transfer the dough onto it.
  9. Cover and let it double in size.
  10. Brush with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 25-30 minutes.
