Garlic Buns Recipe
Garlic Buns
Ingredients:
- 400 grams (3¼ cups) all-purpose flour
- 50 grams (1/4 cup) sugar
- 1 cup lukewarm milk
- 5 grams (1 teaspoon) salt
- 7 grams dry yeast
- 55 grams (1/4 cup) butter
- 1 large egg
- 8 grams (1 tablespoon) minced garlic
Garlic Butter:
- 55 grams (1/3 cup) salted butter, melted
- 8 grams (1 tablespoon) minced garlic
- 1 gram (2 teaspoons) dried parsley
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and dry yeast. Mix thoroughly. Pour in the lukewarm milk and add the egg.
- Knead the dough with a mixer for 5 minutes. Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rest for 20 minutes. Add the softened butter and minced garlic, then continue kneading until the dough becomes elastic.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Once risen, transfer the dough to a work surface and shape it into a square. Divide it into 25 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Cover the balls and let them rest for 15 minutes.
- Slightly flatten each ball by tucking in the edges and place them in a greased baking pan. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the garlic butter by combining minced garlic, dried parsley, and melted butter in a bowl. Mix well.
- Brush the tops of the risen rolls with the garlic butter and bake them in a preheated 350°F oven for 15-17 minutes.
- Once out of the oven and still warm, brush the rolls with a little more garlic butter before serving.
