Spaghetti Meat Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground chuck
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion or 2 medium onions, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons minced parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried sweet basil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in an extra-large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and green peppers, cooking for 5 to 7 minutes until softened.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook until browned.
  3. Add ground chuck and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, minced parsley, sweet basil, Italian seasoning, dried oregano, sea salt, and black pepper, ensuring they are evenly mixed with the browned ground chuck.
  5. Add diced and crushed tomatoes, stirring well.
  6. Pour in tomato sauce and stir. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 1 hour.
  7. Meanwhile, boil spaghetti pasta in a large pot for 7 to 8 minutes, following package instructions. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the boiling water to prevent sticking.
  8. Drain cooked pasta and add the prepared meat sauce. Serve hot.
