Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose/plain flour
- 185g butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 & 1/2 cups icing sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Method:
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour and salt. Mix well and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter and icing sugar until pale and creamy.
- Add one egg and beat for about 3 minutes until well incorporated.
- Mix in the milk and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
- Transfer the dough into piping bags fitted with different nozzles for shaping.
- Pipe the dough onto a greased and lined baking tray.
- Place the tray in the fridge and chill for 30 minutes to help the cookies maintain their shape during baking.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven until they turn golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool before serving. Enjoy your delicious butter cookies!
