Perfecting Homemade Burger Buns
Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 cups of milk
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 2 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 egg
- 7 grams of yeast
Instructions:
- Warm the milk and butter together until just heated.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Pour the warm milk mixture into the flour mixture, then add the egg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 10 to 15 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Grease a bowl with oil, place the dough in it, and cover it with cling wrap. Let it rise for about an hour, or until it doubles in size.
- After the dough has risen, knead it again for 2 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and shape each into smooth balls. Place them on a greased baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Flatten the balls slightly, cover them, and let them rise again for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Bake the buns for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
