Perfecting Homemade Burger Buns

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 2 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons of white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 7 grams of yeast

Instructions:

  1. Warm the milk and butter together until just heated.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  3. Pour the warm milk mixture into the flour mixture, then add the egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 10 to 15 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Grease a bowl with oil, place the dough in it, and cover it with cling wrap. Let it rise for about an hour, or until it doubles in size.
  6. After the dough has risen, knead it again for 2 minutes.
  7. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and shape each into smooth balls. Place them on a greased baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. Flatten the balls slightly, cover them, and let them rise again for 20 to 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  10. Bake the buns for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
