️ Kung Pao Chicken Recipe
Kung Pao Chicken Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken thighs, bite-sized pieces
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sherry wine
Sauce:
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
Additional Ingredients:
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 green onions, 2-inch pieces
- 6 dried chilis
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/3 cup chopped peanuts
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions:
- Mix chicken with cornstarch, soy sauce, and sherry wine for marinade.
- Prepare the sauce by combining soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and chili flakes. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Cook dried chilis and bell peppers for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chicken and cook for approximately 4 minutes, stirring often, until mostly cooked.
- Add garlic, cook for 1 minute, then incorporate the prepared sauce, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Add green onions and chopped peanuts.
- Serve the Kung Pao Chicken over rice or noodles.
