Spaghetti Meat Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground chuck
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 large onion or 2 medium onions, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons minced parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried sweet basil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in an extra-large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and green peppers, cooking for 5 to 7 minutes until softened.
- Add minced garlic and cook until browned.
- Add ground chuck and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, minced parsley, sweet basil, Italian seasoning, dried oregano, sea salt, and black pepper, ensuring they are evenly mixed with the browned ground chuck.
- Add diced and crushed tomatoes, stirring well.
- Pour in tomato sauce and stir. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, boil spaghetti pasta in a large pot for 7 to 8 minutes, following package instructions. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the boiling water to prevent sticking.
- Drain cooked pasta and add the prepared meat sauce. Serve hot.
