Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 6 eggs
  • 150 g (2⁄3 cup) sugar
  • 50 g (1⁄2 cup) all-purpose flour
  • 15 g (2 tablespoons) cornstarch
  • 80 ml (1⁄3 cup) vegetable oil
  • 15 g (2 tablespoons) cocoa powder

Cream:

  • 250 g (1 cup) hazelnut cream
  • 200 g (2⁄3 cup) melted dark chocolate

Method:

  1. Begin by separating the egg yolks from the whites.
  2. In a blender, combine the egg yolks with sugar and vegetable oil until well combined.
  3. Using a separate bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  4. Carefully fold the whipped egg whites into the yolk mixture, ensuring a light and fluffy texture.
  5. Sift the flour over the batter and gently fold it in until fully incorporated.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Mix one portion with cocoa powder and the other with cornstarch.
  7. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Spread the white half of the batter evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 5 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  10. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
  11. Spread a layer of hazelnut cream onto the baked white layer, followed by a drizzle of melted dark chocolate.
  12. Carefully roll the dough into a log shape, starting from one end.
  13. Slice the roll into individual portions and serve.
