Ingredients:
Dough:
- 6 eggs
- 150 g (2⁄3 cup) sugar
- 50 g (1⁄2 cup) all-purpose flour
- 15 g (2 tablespoons) cornstarch
- 80 ml (1⁄3 cup) vegetable oil
- 15 g (2 tablespoons) cocoa powder
Cream:
- 250 g (1 cup) hazelnut cream
- 200 g (2⁄3 cup) melted dark chocolate
Method:
- Begin by separating the egg yolks from the whites.
- In a blender, combine the egg yolks with sugar and vegetable oil until well combined.
- Using a separate bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Carefully fold the whipped egg whites into the yolk mixture, ensuring a light and fluffy texture.
- Sift the flour over the batter and gently fold it in until fully incorporated.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions. Mix one portion with cocoa powder and the other with cornstarch.
- Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the white half of the batter evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 5 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
- Spread a layer of hazelnut cream onto the baked white layer, followed by a drizzle of melted dark chocolate.
- Carefully roll the dough into a log shape, starting from one end.
- Slice the roll into individual portions and serve.
