Delightful Ribeye Steak Recipe
Crafted a delightful Ribeye Steak for lunch today
Despite my previous posts receiving little attention, can you deny the appeal of this culinary masterpiece?
Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons kosher coarse salt (*refer to notes*)
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a tightly sealed quarter-liter Ziploc bag. Shake vigorously to ensure a thorough blend.
- Generously coat each side of the steak with the spice mix and allow it to rest for approximately 40 minutes. This duration allows the salt to permeate the surface through osmosis, breaking down muscle fibers for a more tender meat. Simultaneously, the initial liquid that surfaced gets reabsorbed, enhancing the juiciness of the meat.
- Preheat the grill until it reaches an optimal temperature. Place the steak(s) on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes until achieving a delectable brown and slight char. Flip the steak and cook for an additional:
- +5 minutes: Medium Rare
- +7 minutes: Medium
- +10 minutes: Well Done
