Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in pork chops, approximately 1-inch thick
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the pork chops with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chops on both sides and set them aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
