Delicious Fried Apple or Peach Hand Pies Recipe – A Must-Try Treat!
Ingredients:
- 2 boxes (14.1 oz each) refrigerated pie crust
- 1 can (21 oz) peach pie filling
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 egg white, beaten
Instructions:
- Start by preheating your oven to 425°F. While it heats up, take the pie crusts out of the package and let them reach room temperature.
- In a shallow bowl, empty the peach pie filling and chop the peaches into small pieces using a fork and knife. Mix in the cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
- Unroll the pie crusts and use a 4-inch biscuit cutter to cut out 6 circles from each crust. You may need to re-roll the scraps to get the sixth circle.
- Using a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop, place the peach pie filling into the center of each pie crust circle. Fold the crust in half and pinch the edges together firmly. Then, fold the pinched edges over and seal them by pressing with the tines of a fork. To prevent bursting, poke each hand pie with a fork once.
- Beat the egg white in a small bowl until frothy. Brush it over the tops of each hand pie.
- Place the pies on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, ensuring they’re about 1 inch apart. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the pies are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth to make the glaze.
- Once the pies are done baking, remove them from the oven and immediately dip them (while still warm) into the glaze, ensuring they’re fully coated. Use two forks to flip them in the glaze and carefully remove them. Place them back on the parchment paper and allow them to set for about 5 minutes.
