Cream Cheese Squares

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup of softened butter
  • 4 cups of confectioner’s sugar
  • 1 (8-oz) box of softened cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, beaten eggs, and softened butter until evenly mixed.
  3. Press the cake batter onto the bottom of a buttered 9×13-inch pan to form a cake layer.
  4. In another mixing bowl, cream together the confectioner’s sugar, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spread the cream cheese frosting mixture evenly over the cake batter layer in the pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
  7. Allow the cake to cool completely before cutting into squares.
