Baked Cottage Cheese Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 450 grams (approximately 2 cups) of cottage cheese
  • 1 cup (approximately 100 grams) of grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup (around 30 grams) of flour
  • 2 tablespoons (30 milliliters) of melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 milliliters) of salt
  • 1/4 cup (approximately 25 grams) of chopped green onions
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Mixture:

    • In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until well combined.
    • Add the cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, flour, melted butter, baking powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well integrated.
  3. Enhance the Flavor:

    • Stir in the chopped green onions.
    • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake:

    • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  5. Serve:

    • Allow the dish to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and, if desired, sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
