Ingredients:

For the Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split at the joints and tips removed
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray

For the Sweet Chili Garlic Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (optional, for heat)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season them generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare the Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent the wings from sticking.
  4. Cook the Wings: Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch each other for even cooking. Cook the wings for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until they are crispy and golden brown. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  5. Make the Sweet Chili Garlic Sauce: While the wings are cooking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sriracha sauce (if using). Cook the mixture over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Coat the Wings: Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the sweet chili garlic sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish. Serve the wings hot and enjoy!
