Authentic Mexican Crispy Tacos
Ingredients:
- 12 corn tortillas
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup crumbled queso fresco
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Warm the tortillas on a skillet until pliable.
- Spread a tablespoon of refried beans evenly onto each tortilla.
- Layer shredded chicken on top of the beans.
- Roll the tortillas tightly and secure them with toothpicks.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the tacos until they turn golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain the tacos on paper towels and remove the toothpicks.
- Serve the tacos topped with lettuce, tomatoes, queso fresco, sour cream, and salsa.
