Crispy Fried Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
- Chicken pieces
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the Coating
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and poultry seasoning.
Step 2: Prepare the Egg Wash
In a separate bowl, mix the beaten eggs with milk until well combined. Set aside.
Step 3: Coat the Chicken
Dredge each chicken piece in the flour mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Then dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, before coating it again in the flour mixture.
Step 4: Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the fryer. Fry until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes, depending on the size of the pieces.
Step 5: Drain and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oil and drain it on paper towels to remove any excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or hot sauce on the side.
