Kung Pao Chicken Recipe

Kung Pao Chicken Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken thighs, bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sherry wine

Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes

Additional Ingredients:

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 green onions, 2-inch pieces
  • 6 dried chilis
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1/3 cup chopped peanuts
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Mix chicken with cornstarch, soy sauce, and sherry wine for marinade.
  2. Prepare the sauce by combining soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and chili flakes. Set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Cook dried chilis and bell peppers for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add chicken and cook for approximately 4 minutes, stirring often, until mostly cooked.
  5. Add garlic, cook for 1 minute, then incorporate the prepared sauce, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add green onions and chopped peanuts.
  7. Serve the Kung Pao Chicken over rice or noodles.
  8. Enjoy your delicious meal!
