Seafood Delight Lasagna

Ingredients

  • For the Seafood Mixture:
    • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 1 pound scallops
    • 1 pound crab meat, meticulously checked for shells
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Béchamel Sauce:
    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 3 cups whole milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Lasagna:
    • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
    • 2 cups ricotta cheese
    • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Seafood Mixture: In a spacious skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
    Sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add shrimp, scallops, and crab meat. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until
    shrimp turn pink and scallops are opaque (about 5-7 minutes). Set aside.
  3. Make the Béchamel Sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and
    cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly
    until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
  4. Assemble the Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of béchamel sauce in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
    Layer with 3 lasagna noodles, half of the seafood mixture, ricotta dollops, a sprinkle of Parmesan, and a layer
    of mozzarella. Repeat layers, ending with a top layer of noodles, remaining béchamel, Parmesan, and mozzarella.
  5. Bake: Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top. Allow the lasagna to
    stand for 10 minutes before serving.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
