Decadent Chocolate Squares
Ingredients:
- 500g flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 400g sugar
- 1 sachet vanillin
- 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 445g almond milk
- 75g oil
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
For the Glaze:
- 300g chocolate
- 120g almond milk
- Chocolate chips
- Pistachios
Instructions:
1. Preparing the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, sugar, vanillin, and cocoa powder.
- Gradually add the almond milk, oil, and vinegar to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a rectangular baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C) for approximately 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
2. Making the Glaze:
- In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate with the almond milk, either over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
3. Finishing Touches:
- Once the cake has cooled slightly, pour the chocolate glaze over the top, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped pistachios over the glaze for added texture and flavor.
4. Serving:
Allow the chocolate squares to cool completely before slicing into squares and serving.
