Savory Bacon and Cheddar Biscuits
Bacon, Cheddar Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 6 tbsp cold butter (cubed)
- 3/4 cup shredded cheese
- 8 strips of cooked & crumbled bacon
- 3/4 cup of milk (plus a little bit extra to brush on tops of biscuits)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Mix together dry ingredients & then add in the butter, using a fork or your hands to mix it all together until it’s crumbly.
- Add cheese, bacon & milk, stir to combine.
- Put dough on a floured surface; form into a ball & then roll out till 1/2 inch thick. Using a cup or biscuit cutter, cut biscuits out (should be able to get 9-10 biscuits) place on cookie sheet, brush milk on top & sprinkle parsley (optional) & bake for 16-20 minutes or until golden brown
